Starting our day after a nice breakfast of sausages, eggs & scones in the B&B. Little did I know that we would have a sausage sandwich for lunch!
What, they only pick up at 5:30 PM, perhaps we should use the phone instead.
Here’s the queen of the underground, taking the overground for a change. Here we are on the platform heading outside of the city from Wimbledon for Hampton Court.
Well we have one picture of us together on this entire trip so far.
Carolyn says that I won’t hand our camera to anyone because I think they will run off with it (like in European Vacation).
We’ve arrived at our 3rd English Palace of the trip so far. This one was where King Henry VIII spent quite a bit of time.
We toured this 15th Century – 18th Century castle for several hours. The kitchens that fed 600 people twice daily were almost as amazing as the artwork in the state rooms. Here is Carolyn in the “side yard” on the grounds outside.
I’m getting excited by all the flora because the sculpted trees are a perfect match for my physique.
What better place to rest then in the back gardens after 9 hours on our feet.
Looking back across the Tames at the palace with the sun setting and our day mostly finished. We are now full of pub fare of fish & chips with a nice steak & ale pie, washed down by Youngs ale and Stella beer.
