In 1740 at 25, Jonathan married the 23 year old Hannah Hubbard at the Wintonbury Parish.
She was the daughter of John and Anna (Spencer) Hubbard.
They lived in Windsor and Wintonbury, CT.

Jonathan Bidwell's tombstone is one of the oldest stones in the old wintonbury Cemetery and it bears the following inscription:
"Mr. Jonathan Bidwell who Departed this life June ye 10th A.D. 1787 in ye 73rd year of his Age.".
